When Dallas born journalista Angelique Garr was only 12 years old, she quickly recognized her love of writing.. While the other kids were drawing and playing, she was writing short stories and articles for the yearbook. “I was the one that everybody came to when they had a paper due,” she laughs.

She has since worked in the tv, music and fashion industries and is a natural at freezing the moment with words. Angelique has interviewed many Hip-Hop and Hollywood MVP’s.

“I love meeting intriguing people,” she says. “…Especially if it’s someone I really admire. I’ll keep my cool, but on the inside, I’m about to explode.” Frank Lucas and model Cindy Crawford are only two of her most memorable conversations. Others include Russell Simmons,  Janelle Monae, 2 Chainz, RZA, Trey Songz, TGT, Vivica A. Fox, Fantasia, Brian McKnight, Trina, Jadakiss, Joe Budden,  Mobb Deep, Juelz Santana, Avant, Joi, Plies, Talib Kweli, Ray J, Foxy Brown, Keyshia Cole, Pete Rock, Chrisette Michele, Bun B, Snoop Dogg, Hosea Chanchez, Rockmond Dunbar, Dick Gregory and many others.

Angelique discovered her love of writing while interning at Universal Music Group and Interscope Records in Dallas. And although she also has a passion for style and art, hip hop culture remains top priority and undeniable in her life. Other activities that light up her life include writing fashion spreads, singing, movie binging, and teaching positive social media to young teens. She has also served as a social media manager in Dallas/FT. Worth I.S.D.’s and Editor-in-Chief for Basic Magazine, an overseas distributed entertainment magazine now out of print.

Publications that have showcased her work include Rhyme & Reason Magazine,, FEDS Magazine, Yo!, The Dallas Morning News, Dallas Examiner, Dallas Post Tribune,  and the beat goes on. Her independent venture, Journalicious!, was a full entertainment news and gossip site that was launched in 2008 because of the success of this blog, which received over 10,000 page views at its height..

I’d like to thank everyone that visited and followed,  receiving their daily dose of ‘Celeb News and other Goodies’ over a span of 7 years,” says Angelique.

In 2007, Journalicious! Media was launched after briefly providing her PR talents to DP Next Generation (Tha Dogg Pound.) The internet publicity and marketing service lended media authority to numerous local and international artists (such as BoyFace, Suga T, Alexander Star, Grammy Award Winning Producer Jah Born, RC & The Gritz, etc.) and made media relationships with numerous labels including Universal Music, E1 Music, Warner Bros. Records and others.
