On Feb 21, Dallas based Skyy Lyfe Entertainment released a statement claiming that a Dallas promoter organized the Rich Dollaz, Dollaz Unlimited Ultimate Model & Talent search as a scam to rip off local models and attendees. A flier for the event had an image of Love & Hip Hop New York star Rich Dollaz on the front cover.
The entertainment company, which does business with various New York brands, has named Cedric “The King” Willis as the mastermind of the scam, claiming the promoter (and owner of Red Room Addison) not only promised attendees that Rich Dollaz would be in attendance, but charged 100 artists and models to be featured and and charged attendees at the door, all who expected on at least seeing the LHHNY star. And as for those that paid to perform, it’s pretty impossible for 100 acts to go onstage within a two hour time period, which is what Skyy Lyfe claims also happened, or rather, did not happen.
“There were no members of VH1 staff or Dollaz Unlimited present…. We are a nationally trusted brand and we deeply aplogize. It is also our hope that our fan base has not lost faith in us,” stated Skyy Lyfe CEO Seketha Wonzer.
Wonzer and her entity are asking Willis to refund all monies paid by the 100 acts and suggest that those people demand their money back as well.
