Sunday night on the 56th Grammy Awards, Queen Latifah seemed very proud and excited to not only introduce Macklemore
and Ryan Lewis as they performed their hit Same Love, but also married 34 diverse couples – including gay, straight, of different ages and races.
Rumors have recently re-surfaced about the Queen being gay and she has remained open about her stance of gay right and marriage-equality.
The National Enquirer released a story earlier this month about Latifah and her sexuality…and we must say it sounds quite believable.
QQUEEN LATIFAH may be getting ready to come out of the closet – thanks to the inspiration of “Good Morning America” anchor Robin Roberts, who recently acknowledged she’s gay.
A source says that the 43-year-old talk-show host is telling pals that Robin’s lesbian admission has Latifah contemplating following in her footsteps in 2014. “Latifah never wanted to be labeled a gay spokesperson or role model – that’s why she’s never come out,” a close source told The ENQUIRER.
“Her sexuality has been one of Hollywood’s biggest non-secrets for years, but since Robin came out she’s been thinking long and hard about doing the same.
“Latifah always wanted to keep her private life out of the spotlight, even though she’s never hidden her girlfriends from her close friends and family.
As The ENQUIRER exclusively reported in October 2011, Latifah ended an eight-year relationship with her longtime girlfriend, personal trainer Jeanette Jenkins. But she quickly rebounded and began dating dancer/choreographer Eboni Nichols.
Confided the source: “Latifah respects and admires Robin’s decision. Although she’s still on the fence, she’s finally thinking about coming out – and that’s more than she’s ever done before.”
And just recently, Queen Latifah visited the Howard Stern Show, one host that’s certainly known for asking questions that most hosts are not even permitted to ask. When Howard asked her about her sexuality and sex life, she replied.
“It’s easier not to even discuss it. I really haven’t tried to share that side of my life with everyone because I felt like I was sharing so much of my life with the public. I don’t have to share everything that’s going on in my bedroom. That’s not anybody’s business. It’s not like I’m a hermit under a rock. I live my life. I know who I am and who I’m not. I’m comfortable with myself. Those who need to know, know. They know me.”
We certainly believe that the Queen is a lesbian, but contemplating how to tastefully reveal her sexuality to the world? HOG WASH! Latifah seems quite comfortable in her own skin and knows that the people that know and love her most (her family and friends) are the only ones who really need to know about her personal life. Go ‘head Queen. We love you either way.
