WINEHOUSE DOING WELL AFTER DIAGNOSIS AND A WEEKEND OF SHOWS

 

Amy Winehouse has left the hospital, it was confirmed today.

The performer, who had a demanding weekend of concerts, (including singing at Nelson Mandela’s 90^th birthday party), was discharged from her 10-day clinic stay on Monday.

Her representative, Chris Goodman, said, “She has left [the] hospital. She is continuing as an outpatient.”

The singer, 24, came back to the facility during rehearsals and between her performances for Mandela and at the Glastonbury Festival. But she left for good on Monday.

“She will return for regular … check [-up] s,” said Goodman.

He adds, “There comes a time when you are ready to leave the hospital, and so she left. No one was trying to keep her there. It was completely up to her – everyone knew she would not stay there forever.”

Despite some hullabaloo over her performance at the rock festival – it was reported the singer allegedly took a swing at an audience member – Goodman says Winehouse is “looking great and feeling great.”

WILL SMITH PERFORMS WITH JAZZY JEFF; ATTENDS “HANCOCK” PREMIERE

A spontaneous show from leading man Will Smith and his old partner in rap, DJ Jazzy Jeff initiated the Hancock premiere in Hollywood Monday night.

“I’m out of shape – I’m playing an out of shape superhero hero,” Smith, 39, said on a stage surrounded by carefully wrecked cars, “prison-cage” private lounges and a moon bounce for the kids.

But, physical fitness was the last thing on attendee’s minds in the party space outside Hollywood High School where Smith performed many of his hit songs, including the theme from the TV show that launched him to stardom, The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air.

 

Tyrese Gibson actually jumped on stage for a special request, “Gettin’ Jiggy Wit It,” while Hancock costars Charlize Theron and Jason Bateman jammed to the tunes in the audience.

 

 The South African actress Theron was noticeably late and received a verbal citation from Smith on the red carpet at Grauman’s Chinese Theatre.

“Charlize Theron is a fantastic actress – gorgeous, sexy, powerful, so much range. From drama to comedy, she can do all things fantastic,” Smith said. “But she can’t tell time! She just can’t tell time.”

“I’m a girl,” Theron teased back as she leaned into Smith. “That’s how it goes.”

MADONNA QUITTING HUSBAND FOR BASEBALL PLAYER OR HIP-HOP STAR?

Madonna’s spokeswoman has released an exclusive statement to PEOPLE snubbing reports that the singer’s marriage to her film director husband Guy Ritchie is headed for downfall.

“Madonna’s husband Guy arrived in New York last night to be with his wife and family,” Liz Rosenberg told PEOPLE. “There are no plans for Madonna and Guy to divorce.”

Rosenberg also denied a published report of a relationship between the singer and New York Yankees star Alex Rodriguez.

“Madonna and Alex have the same manager, Guy Oseary,” Rosenberg says. “They have met. They know each other and Madonna took her kids to a Yankees game last week. There’s really not anything to comment on beyond that.”

Adds Rosenberg: “It’s nothing new that people are airing tons of dirty laundry Madonna’s way lately – much of it untrue.” She joked: “By the way, rumors of Madonna and Lil Wayne are quite exaggerated, as well.”
