Presumptive Democrat presidential nominee Barack Obama has rejected an endorsement song from Ludacris, in which the Atlanta MC criticizes rivals Hillary Clinton and John McCain. The song “Politics: Obama Is Here” contains bars on Obama’s success, but turns extremely derogatory when Obama’s rivals are addressed. Ludacris references the bitter Democratic primary battle by stating “Hillary hated on you/So that b**ch is irrelevant.” Regarding Republican nominee John McCain, the rapper rhymes: “McCain don’t belong in ANY chair unless he’s paralyzed/ Yeah I said it cause Bush is mentally handicapped/ Ball up all of his speeches and I throw ‘em like candy wrap.” “As Barack Obama has said many, many times in the past, rap lyrics today too often perpetuate misogyny, materialism, and degrading images that he doesn’t want his daughters or any children exposed to,” explained spokesman Bill Burton. “This song is not only outrageously offensive to Senator Clinton, Reverend Jackson, Senator McCain, and President Bush, it is offensive to all of us who are trying to raise our children with values we hold dear. While Ludacris is a talented individual he should be ashamed of these lyrics.”

GIVE WYCLEF A BREAK, JACOB
Rapper/producer Wyclef Jean, allegedly owes Jacob The Jeweler money.
He is apparently being sued by the New York jeweler, who claims the rap star owes his company money.
Jacob & Co. alleges Jean has not paid for over $300,000 worth of watches and jewelry.
The company’s founder, Jacob “The Jeweler” Arabov was jailed in June by a Detroit judge for lying to investigators about a drug ring.
Jean, also a member of the legendary group The Fugees, has not commented on the legal action.
Maybe Jacob should give Wyclef a break. Jean has more important obligations like his foundation Yele Haiti, which provides his homeland with food, education, healthcare and other Haitian “privileges.”
BIRDMAN ON TRIAL IN TENNESSEE
Cash Money Records’ CEO (and my future baby daddy) rapper Bryan “Birdman” Williams pleaded not guilty to marijuana possession charges during a preliminary hearing yesterday (July 29) in Kingsport, Tennessee.
Williams and 15 others were originally charged with possession of marijuana, after police stopped his RV last November on Interstate 81 for making an improper lane change, which ran a tractor trailer into the emergency lane.
A search of the vehicle allegedly exposed a pound of marijuana in the RV’s trash can, as well as a number of guns.
Williams, his brother Ronald “Slim” Williams, an 18-year-old woman and 13 other people were charged with possession of more than a ½ pound of marijuana.
In succeeding interviews after his arrest, Williams, who was on the road promoting his album 5 Star G, confessed to possessing marijuana but denied possessing a pound.
Yesterday, three of the passengers also charged with possession of marijuana failed to appear in court and bench warrants were promptly issued for their arrests.
Williams and his allies are slated to go to trial in October.

After making derogatory remarks towards black women, Yung Berg has lost his girlfriend, America’s Next Top Model winner Jaslene Gonzalez.
“Jaslene was horrified when she heard what [Yung Berg] said,” an alleged good friend of Jaslene’s told MediaTakeOut.com. “He’s been calling and texting her – but she’s not returning his calls. She doesn’t want to deal with anyone that feels that way.”
The Sexy Can I rapper went on radio show Lip Service and made some contentious annotations about women with darker complexions.
Berg has since tried to apologize for the shocking comments but many of his ex-fans were not moved by his explanation.
FAITH RELEASES BOOK ABOUT BIGGIE
Faith Evans, R&B singer and estranged wife of Notorious B.I.G., is set to release a “tell all” book in August. From her alleged relationship with Tupac to her turbulent relationship with B.I.G., the R&B songstress’ chronicle will shed light some of the most intimate personal aspects of her life.
“My journey has been complicated on many levels,” Faith said about the upcoming novel. “And since I am always linked to B.I.G., there are a lot of misconceptions about who I really am.”
B.I.G.’s sexual relationship with Lil Kim, Faith’s alleged drug use, and many other anecdotes will appear in the book. She said she plans to let her readers know what really went down behind closed doors.
“B.I.G. never got a chance to tell his story,” Faith said. “It’s been left to others to tell it for him. In making the decision to tell my own story, it means that I’ve become one of those who can give insight to who B.I.G. really was. But I can only speak of what he meant to me.”
The 368 page memoir entitled Keeping the Faith will be in book stores on August 29th.
